EMILYJDANA

Costumes and garb let people tell stories in ways regular clothes can't.

They let the wearer step into a different world- ones where people use magic and carry potions and can have enchanted swords that swing fire through the air. Maybe they have a secret history, or hail from across the highest mountain range- the visual storytelling built into each piece blurs the line between fantasy and reality, letting the wearer fully embody the character they portray.

Thistle likes oversized antique brass buttons, big hoods, brocade fabrics, princess seams, sleeveless pieces layered over cool sleeves, and lace-up details.

The other winter coat- this one is a single layer wool/cashmere blend with the seams topstitched flat. It has an embroidered thistle flower on the left sleeve that isn't visible here. What is kind of visible is the matching pants and vest she is wearing- a nod back to the days where she only wore overalls.

Her "look" has gone through three main phases so far.

1- little dirt halfling

2- utility over all

3- burdened with glorious responsibility
